The Write Stuff

When I ask Brides what they want the most from their wedding, I often get a reply of "personal touches." **(which I LOVE).  What better way to celebrate YOU on YOUR big day than by sharing with your guests different elements of you and your fiance's personalities, your likes, and your interests?

There is no better way to welcome a guest into YOUR lives (as a couple) than by putting special and personalized touches throughout the wedding experience-from start to finish.

The first "touch" and impression that your guests will receive will arrive in their mailboxes, requesting their presence at your wedding or that they save the date for your big day. In my opinion, there is no better way to begin the personalization and special touches than with calligraphy and handwritten envelopes/invitations.

As my mother says, in the South, "handwritten invites old charm." I couldn't agree more!

What an AMAZING first impression invitations like these would make on future wedding guests.

The exquisite detail, design, and talent showcased in this work would certainly keep me on the edge, and make me excited about other personalized details that might be waiting at the wedding.

When working with brides and discussing hand written invitations and/or calligraphy, one concern I often get is expense. "Will it be within my price range?" My answer is that EVERYTHING is within one's price range-you just must select where you would like to spend and save. I can't say enough wonderful things about spending in the details and invitations. In a world of texts and e-mails, a hand-written invitation is a treasured gem in my book.

If you'd like to add creative script in other areas of your big day, check out these beautiful signs hand painted by Kathryn at Fleur de Letters.

Even utilizing a calligrapher for a template for programs or other signage to be used at the wedding is a great touch, and way to add elegance and charm to your big day.

Of course, there a MANY other beautiful ways to showcase beautiful words on your big day-and we'd be more than happy to help you decide which might work best for you and your budget!

Until next time..

 Happy Celebrating!
